I am Linda Meier McCann Justice of the Peace, Pct 3, Gillespie County, Texas.
I am a 5th generation resident of Gillespie County. I presently live in the Morris Ranch community on the land where I grew up. I graduated from FHS, attended TLU and graduated from TSU with a Bachelor of Science degree in Home Economics Education. I have additional certifications for student work programs and the PALS (Peer Assistance and Leadership) program in Middle School. I also hold several other teaching certifications including Secondary Composite Social Studies, K to 12 Special Education, and Elementary Education. I wrote and taught the curriculum for a Middle School course designed to teach ‘Life Skills’. I am a retired professional educator with over 26 years of experience.
As a 4th generation member of Bethany Lutheran Church, I have served on the Bethany Foundation Board, several committees and volunteered with the Christmas Journey. I am also a member of a variety of professional/civic organizations and volunteer with Oktober Fest, the Gillespie County Fair and Stonewall Peach Jamboree.
As your Justice of the Peace, my priorities will always be to treat all people with dignity and respect. Each situation will be approached with an open mind, without prior prejudices, so that justice can be served. I will bring fresh perspectives, an ability to organize and prioritize, and a commitment to stay current on all legal matters.
I am asking for your vote to RE-ELECT me to a second term as Gillespie County Justice of the Peace.
I pledge to you that I will continue to perform the duties of a Texas Justice of the Peace in a professional, ethical, and responsible manner using a common sense approach.
For more information, call or text me at 830-456-8145. I look forward to hearing from you.
